I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but on a Rubik's Cube 5X5 there is only one parity case where the outer edges are flipped on one edge and go from x/Y/X/Y/x to y/X/Y/X/y for example. This can only happen when pieces are replaced wrong. The algorithm to solve it is Rr2 B2 U2 Ll U2 Rr' U2 Rr2 U2 F2 Rr F2 Ll' B2 Rr2.
